1. I am a licensed teacher and want to become a Substitute Teacher...
a. Apply for current Licensed Positions
b. Oregon Law states that one must have a valid and current Oregon Teaching License to register as a Substitute Teacher. Please contact the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSCP) with licensing questions
2. I am not a licensed teacher but I want to work in education…
a. There are many positions available in schools and districts. All school staff are absent from time-to-time. This includes lunch providers (Oregon Food Handler Certification required), office staff, educational assistants, coaches, bus drivers, custodians, and library assistants. Go to our Classified Positions to see what's available and to apply
3. I am a teacher from another state, are my teaching credentials valid in Oregon?
a. Oregon Law states that one must have a valid and current Oregon Teaching License to register as a Substitute Teacher. If your license is from out of state, please contact the Teacher Standards and Practice Commission (TSCP)
b. You may qualify for and wish to apply for other school positions. Checkout Classified Positions
4. Do I need to apply at each school district using CTA Sub Services?
a. When applying with CTA Substitute Services, your application may be directed to one or as many school districts as you select on your application. Please Note: Some school districts may require additional paperwork
